Engineering Modern Apprenticeship coordinator


The Faculty of Engineering, Computing and the Built Environment require a Modern Apprenticeship Assessor Coordinator to lead and manage the caseloads of the SVQ Assessors within the Engineering provision, ensuring all deadlines are achieved whilst providing the highest possible standards of quality.  

Having extensive knowledge and occupational competence in the field of Engineering and the operation of Modern Apprenticeships, the successful applicant will liaise with appropriate awarding bodies and coordinate External Verification visits, ensuring student portfolios are up to date, complete and available for verification. The successful applicant will also be responsible for the assessment of Modern Apprenticeship candidates, adhering to the MA Assessment Strategy and the College’s quality standards and procedures.  

Applicants will be qualified with a relevant HNC or equivalent (SCQF Level 7), as well as an SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent). It is desirable that the successful applicant holds a Learning and Development Standards for Assessors award, or equivalent. In addition, the successful candidate will have experience of internal verification and ideally hold an Internal Quality Assurance award, or equivalent.  

Reporting to the Head of Curriculum, you will be responsible for liaising with both internal and external stakeholders and attracting new business to the College, therefore excellent interpersonal and organisational skills are essential.
