Lecturer - ESOL


The Faculty of Access and Continuing Learning are looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to deliver courses within the School of ESOL to a diverse range of students.  

The post holder will work closely with the Head of Curriculum and Senior Lecturers to provide high quality learning and assessment opportunities that will enhance learning and teaching with a strong learner focus. Preferably educated to Degree level or relevant professional equivalent in the specialist area. It would be advantageous to have DELTA, CELTA, TESOL or equivalent qualification within the subject area and have teaching experience of at least one year. You will prepare and deliver teaching materials and work within a team to develop new approaches to teaching.  

You will demonstrate good organisational skills along with the ability to work on your own initiative and work under pressure.  Enthusiasm for the role and willingness to develop your own skills and qualities through staff development, specific training and self-evaluation. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, have positive and flexible attitude to work and relate well to student groups.

Salary:                      £30,584 - £38,341 per annum, pro rata
Location:                  Cross Campus. There will be an expectation to travel between all campuses
