Christmas Science Lecture

The Glasgow Clyde College Schools Science lecture is delivered in the second week of term before Christmas. It promotes possible careers in science and relates to areas of the curriculum by demonstrating the use of scientific techniques at the scene of a crime. In addition to promoting forensic science we use this lecture, delivered by a visiting professor, to highlight other courses that have a link to policing and criminology.

The lecture is targeted towards S2 pupils, to help them to consider science as a worthwhile and interesting subject when they make their option choices for 3rd and 4th year.
