Interviews

You may be invited to attend a face to face interview, an online interview or an information session as part of the application process.

A college interview is more like a discussion, so that you and the course leader can figure out if the course you have chosen is the right fit for you. We want you to enjoy your time studying and the opportunity to chat about this is an important part of the selection process at Glasgow Clyde College.

Interviews and information sessions vary according to the type of course, and some courses do not require an interview. Find out more about online interviews.

If you are asked to an interview or information session there are some standard  questions you should be ready to answer:

  • What do you know about the subject you are applying to study?
  • Why are you interested in this subject?
  • Why do you want to attend this college in particular?
  • What are your short-term and long-term goals?

Remember, the course leader is not trying to trick you, they just want to hear that you are ready to take the next step in your studies and are making the right choice.

If you require any additional support or adjustment for your interview please call our Learning Inclusion Team on 0141 272 3656.

What happens next?

If your interview is successful you will be made a conditional or unconditional offer of a place on your selected course. You must respond to this offer within 14 working days.
