This ABT-certified introductory Bamboo Massage course provides an opportunity for students to gain essential underpinning knowledge and the practical application of basic bamboo massage techniques.
What will I learn?
In the Bamboo Massage training course, you will learn an effective and safe way to use warm bamboo in a full-body massage treatment. Working with bamboo you can use some wonderful deep tissue techniques with no wear on your hands letting you work efficiently and providing a warm and deep massage. Bamboo massage helps with circulation, lymphatic drainage and sensory nerve perception.
You will learn:
- Health & Safety guidelines for therapists
- Introduction to Warm Bamboo Massage
- Massage Methods and Routine
- Using base/carrier oils
- Contra indications/actions
This course is perfect for anyone who wants to expand their knowledge of massage.
Entry requirements (minimum)
Minimum 16 years old
Students must hold a Level 6 or above certificate in Body Massage Treatments

This Bamboo Massage course provides a good grounding for those who may wish to progress to the NQ Spa with Complementary Therapies Level 6 and 7, NQ Beauty Therapy Level 6 or HND Beauty Therapy (subject to a successful interview).
