This introduction to welding course will equip first time welders with the fundamental knowledge and skills to weld.
It is a blend of practical and theoretical training and will provide information on the most commonly used welding processes. (MIG/MAG, MMA and TIG)
TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode to produce the weld, while an inert gas, typically argon or helium, shields the weld area from contamination. The main material type used in the course will be 3mm and 6mm low carbon steel (included in your course fee). If you have a specific project in mind, you may prefer to bring your own materials to use.
You will require fire resistant overalls and steel toe capped boots/shoes for this course (these can be supplied at an extra cost). All other PPE will be provided.
