CITB Employer Networks Funding

Glasgow Clyde College has joined the CITB’s Employer Networks, an initiative set up and funded by CITB aiming to simplify the way you get the support and funding you need to access the training you want.

You can apply for funding, if you are a CITB member, to help fund up to 70% of your course fee. You can apply via the CITB by using the following link - Employer Networks - CITB. They will also advise if the training wish to complete is covered by the fund.

The courses that you request must relate to construction related activities; therefore, not all courses will be fundable. There is though scope to provide funding for Leadership and Management courses, as well as Digital Skills. CITB would normally have a quick course content check and confirm if it can or cannot be funded.

The fund has two main objectives:

Make it easier for you to access training and funding. The training can be in anything that supports construction employers. These could be the trade skills you need right now or something you’ll need in the future - such as net zero, digital skills or mentoring. And because the Employer Networks help organise it all, you don’t need to complete any paperwork to apply for funding.

To bring together employers at a local level to inform CITB on training needs, to advise how funding should be prioritised and allocated, and to effectively use training provision to address immediate and future skills needs in their region.

Employer Networks have been piloted since July 2022 and have proven to be successful in helping more employers to train and offer them support.
