Are you interested in developing your millinery skills? Our new twelve-week Summer Trims course expands on millinery skills previously delivered in our Introduction to Millinery, Advanced Millinery and, Botanical Trims and Seasonal Felt courses. You will have time to complete at least 6 trims in that time.
What will I learn?
Our Millinery Skills - Summer Trims course will allow you to experiment with a range of millinery trim techniques through a series of demonstrations and workshops.
You'll be encouraged to explore both traditional and non-traditional uses of millinery materials such as silk abaca for trims and half turbans, crin flat material and sequin foil.
You'll also explore creative ways to use Russian/Merry Widow veiling and attach trims/fixing headpieces to your head and lace/bridal headpieces.
The course will be taught by Shona Crozer, a milliner with over 18 years’ experience. She has been the millinery lecturer at Glasgow Clyde College for the past 6 years
Entry requirements (minimum)
This course has no formal entry requirements but a keen interest in the creative skill of millinery is essential.
