If you're looking for beginners photography courses, this is for you! So you know your way around the camera's controls but you want to get a better grasp of how and when to use the knowledge you already have? This Photography Beginners Level 2 course is designed to follow immediately from the Photography Beginners Level 1 course and will provide you with the skills to help you become more confident in handling your camera.
What will I learn?
Photography Beginners Level 2 is great if you are happy that you understand how to change your shutter speed, aperture and ISO on manual mode but it doesn't feel like second nature. (If this sounds like you then it's possible to enrol in Level 2 without completing the Photography Beginners Level 1 course).
Concepts introduced in the first course will be built upon with the goal of developing a confident approach to handling the camera. So we continue to explore how to change the controls on the camera in order to get the shot that you want.
You will explore how to develop a photographic instinct and investigate different photographers to help you pursue your own style of photo-making.
Lens choices, the basics of lighting techniques and some approaches to portraiture will be introduced at this level also, along with further investigation of how to make the most of your images using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.
A DSLR or Mirrorless camera with a standard zoom lens is essential to get the most from the course. It is probable that students would find a bridge camera too limiting for this course.
