This SVQ Playwork Level 6 course is ideal for you if you are a support practitioner working within a playwork setting with children and young people, such as After School Clubs, Out of School Care and Play Schemes. You will be required to build a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your competence and understanding of playwork theory and practice.

There will be on-site assessment and you will be required to compile a portfolio of evidence.

Entry requirements (minimum)
- you should be in employment or volunteering within a playwork setting
- your current role must include providing play for children and young people; supporting health, safety and well-being; safeguarding children and the work of the team.

Jobs and further study
- you will have the opportunity to progress to SVQ Playwork at SCQF Level 7 or HNC Early Education and Childcare
- you will be able to register with the Scottish Social Services Council as a support practitioner and work within a playwork or childcare workplace.
Making an application
For courses starting in August, you can make up to two applications.
Applications are made to a course and a first choice of campus. If the course is oversubscribed at your first choice you will be automatically considered for alternative sites and may be made an offer without a further application.
