The IOSH Managing Safely course is designed to provide a better understanding of health and safety responsibilities specific to job roles. Upon successful completion of the course and assessment, candidates are awarded a Managing Safely certificate from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), an internationally recognised health and safety membership organisation.

This IOSH training course aims to ensure and enable you can
- Assess and control risks and hazards
- Understand responsibilities for safety and health in your job role
- Investigate incidents
You will review case studies and each module will contain examples and scenarios, which will highlight key learning topics. Content includes:
- Assessing risks
- Controlling risks
- Understanding responsibilities
- Understanding hazards
- Investigating incidents
- Measuring performance
IOSH Managing Safely is arranged by Glasgow Clyde College in collaboration with IOSH and delivered on campus by IOSH-approved training providers. Bespoke courses available for a group booking of 6 or more. Get in touch to see how we can accommodate you.
This course is categorised as part-time commercial training and is not eligible for any fee waiver or funding via the College. The student is liable for the payment of fees, unless an external training grant or employer support is confirmed at time of booking.
Entry requirements (minimum)
No formal entry requirements.
However, the course is primarily aimed at those with health and safety responsibilities in their day-to-day role. Therefore, it is beneficial to have prior health and safety knowledge/awareness within a workplace setting.

Jobs and further study
After successful completion of this course, delegates will be awarded the internationally recognised and respected certification - IOSH Managing Safely and have a better understanding of health and safety responsibilities associated with their job role.
