Mental Health Awareness course will increase your knowledge and understanding of mental health. This course will cover the social and personal effects of mental ill health; cultural diversity and mental health issues; and responses to mental health issues. It will also look into the skills needed when working in mental health.
What will I learn?
This course will cover:
- Health and wellbeing – what do we mean?
- Mental health – prevalence and impact
- Common mental health problems
- Looking after your mental health and wellbeing
- Further information and supports available
This course will be delivered on Teams in one online session of three hours.
All materials are supplied by the College and will be available online.

Entry requirements (minimum)
There is no formal entry requirements, however, you will be required to have your camera on and participate in group discussions.
