Dance Skills for P.E. Teachers will provide you with the knowledge and skills to confidently deliver a selection of SQA dance qualifications in schools. Throughout the course you will complete five units at SCQF level 7.
What will I learn?
This Dance Skills for P.E. Teachers (SCQF Level 7) course aims to equip you with the skills and knowledge required to confidently deliver two dance genres as well as choreographic skills and theoretical knowledge to secondary school pupils wishing to undertake SQA qualifications in NPA Dance, National 5 Dance or Higher Dance.
Throughout your study you will complete five units at SCQF Level 7 in year 1 and can progress to complete five units at SCQF Level 8 in year 2 if desired.

The course is taught in the award-winning Dance Studio Scotland, based in the fantastic purpose-built facility at Glasgow Clyde College's Anniesland Campus.
Entry requirements (minimum)
- You must hold GTCS registtration if you wish to teach dance in schools.
- Group interview / info session
- Previous dance experience is advantageous
- Excellent fitness levels
- Learning gained from other qualifications will be recognised.
