Did you know, we are currently the only college in Scotland offering millinery courses? We have excellent millinery facilities, with a large and varied block library for students to use!
Our twelve-week course is an advancement on millinery skills previously delivered in our Introduction to Millinery course.
You will be delving into the world of Silk French Flower making using traditional tools and materials and other flowers using non-traditional materials.
You will learn the creative skills and secrets required to make these fantasy botanical trims using both traditional and non-traditional methods.
What will I learn?
This course will allow you to experiment with a range of millinery flower making techniques and materials through a series of demonstrations and workshops, where you will be encouraged to explore both traditional and non- traditional millinery flower making materials.
You will be looking at using Dupion Silk, Silk Abaca, Eva Foam and Sequin Foil to name a few. You will also look at predicted millinery trends and colour for Autumn/ Winter 2024/ 2025.
The course will be taught by Shona Crozer, a milliner with over 17 years experience. She has been the millinery lecturer at Glasgow Clyde College for over 6 years.
