Existing Gas Safe Registered operatives who hold a current CCN1 can undertake appliances stand-alone to extend their range of certificates or if expiry dates differ.
REMEMBER: Don’t let your ACS certifications expire as you will not be registered under the Gas Safe Register and carrying out any gas work without being registered is illegal.
Also, during busy periods assessment processing can take a number of weeks depending on the volume of pending assessments (both in College and at the certification body). For these reasons, we advise delegates to book onto a course in a reasonable and realistic timeframe in accordance with their expiration date.
Course fee includes training (where requested), assessments, registration, certification, training pack and course materials. Costs are based on individual requirements, with various packages available.
As this course is categorised as part-time commercial training, it is not eligible for any fee waiver or funding via the College. The student is liable for the payment of fees, unless an external training grant or employer support is confirmed at time of booking.
There is a maximum capacity for this course and places are allocated on a first-come first served basis. Delegates are allocated their assessment dates at the time of booking. Delivery varies subject to capacity, requirements and demand.
Entry requirements (minimum)
- Foundation Gas certificate
- Expired ACOPS/ACS qualifications
- Current ACS qualifications
- City & Guilds gas qualification
Preparatory training is not a pre-requisite for assessment however the College provides the opportunity for candidates to undertake training prior to assessment.
Reassessment can be completed up to six months before the expiry date and candidates must have held the CCN1 previously.
If certifcation has expired by 12 months or more the initial assessment must be retaken.
