Flexible Workforce Development Fund

Glasgow Clyde College is encouraging employers to get help with employee training costs by applying to the new Flexible Workforce Development Fund.

The new fund has been set up by the Scottish Government to enable organisations and companies which pay the Apprenticeship Levy to apply for up to £10,000 per year to help pay for employee training.

Glasgow Clyde College can help businesses to apply and can deliver training at any venue, as well as working with businesses to create a programme relevant to their specific requirements in order to develop skills and knowledge within the company’s workforce.

Duncan McDougall, Assistant Principal, International and Business Development at Glasgow Clyde College, said: “The Flexible Workforce Development Fund is an opportunity for levy-paying companies to engage with Glasgow Clyde College and access up to £10,000 worth of training services.

“Companies will be able to book employees on to the College’s programme of courses over the year or have a completely customised training service designed in consultation with our training advisers.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for companies to take advantage of their levy-paying status and to get some training investment back in to the company.”

The opportunity is time-limited and applications from companies to the College need to be made before 15th December 2017.
