Skills for Life and Work students raise funds for Barnardo's
Skills for life and work students at Langside Campus recently held a bric-a-brac sale on to raise funds for Barnardo’s. Selling a range of items donated by students and staff, the students raised an amazing £220 for the charity.
The bric-a-brac sale allowed students to develop several core and interpersonal skills in a practical setting when planning, delivering and reflecting on tasks. Many of the skills are transfrable to the world of work which is vital for the students.
Thanks to Ashley McCrae, Barnardo’s Regional Fundraising Manager for Scotland, who kindly attended to be presented with the funds that were raised, and is pictured above with the students.
