Hammermen Treble for Langside Campus

Hammermen Prizegiving 2020

It was a celebration of the old and new for Glasgow Clyde College at the recent Incorporation of Hammermen of Glasgow awards ceremony. On the evening, for the first time, all three prizes were picked up by students past and present from Glasgow Clyde College’s Engineering Department based at Langside Campus.

Current second-year HNC Mechanical Engineering student, James Galbraith, was awarded the Prince Philip Prize for Colleges in West of Scotland, becoming the 11th winner of the award from our Langside campus.

Former college student Katie Lyon was awarded the Prince Philip Prize for Universities in West of Scotland. During her time at Glasgow Clyde College, Katie was awarded the Prince Philip college prize becoming only the 2nd individual in the 53-year history of the Prince Philip Prize to win at both College level and University level.

Finally, to round off a great night for the legacy of the Langside campus, former student from 2009, Colin Scouller, picked up the Incorporation of Hammermen Scottish Engineering Award.

Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to the Incorporation of Hammermen of Glasgow for hosting the event.
