ESOL Transitions students fundraise for Ukraine
ESOL Transitions to Healthcare and ESOL Transitions to Early Education and Childcare students recently planned and organised a fundraising event to help those fleeing the conflict in Ukraine. The students, based at the Cardonald Campus, raised £146 as part of their Leadership unit by offering nail treatments, face painting and a tombola.
One of the organisers, Ksenya Robertson suggested the fundraising event as her mum and sister live in Ukraine. Ksenya said:
‘I saw that everybody without exception wanted to help and get involved with raising money. With fundraising we can show that we can be useful without weapons in our hands.’
